Originally from England, I lived in sunny El Paso Texas for 16 years, before settling in gorgeous Salem, Oregon.

Since 1998, I have enjoyed a successful business as a professional freelance  artist, muralist and children’s book illustrator. My artwork can be found in private collections in homes and businesses in the USA, England and Mexico.

I am self-taught as an artist and enjoy creating art that has been described as “Realism with a touch of magic.”

I am inspired by many, many things. There is so much beauty in the world, and I try to bring some of it into my artwork. I love taking people to somewhere they can relax, or to make them smile.

I have an extensive mural portfolio of well over 450 projects, including restoration work at the historic Cortez Building in Downtown El Paso, Texas.

I also enjoy creating my canvas art and running my online art business.

My first illustrated children’s book, a collaboration with my sister Carol Pavelin in England, ‘Red Shoes With White Squiggles’ is available here. The second book will be available in …....

That was then, this is now:

In 2015 I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, a debilitating life changing disease. I’ve fought the diagnosis all the way, but the reality is I am no longer able to do shows, murals, or classes. Letting everything go was very difficult, but I am now just happy to have had a very full-filling career as an artist.

Recovery is very slow, and accepting this and taking care of myself has become my priority. I am grateful I am well enough to take care of myself, and I am enjoying my new quiet life.

I enjoy my family, friends, and my lovely home and garden.

Please stay tuned, as I regroup, and figure out what I can do within my current limitations.
